I would like to share a story with you about a very brave young man I know. His name is Sean Patrick and he lives in Liverpool England.
I met Sean in 2011 when we both attended a Hay House Conference in New York called Shakers and Movers. Sean wanted to publish a book and I wasn’t sure what I wanted but I knew I wanted to start doing more to contribute to the world.
I sat in the front row of the conference room. I love sitting up front!
Louise Hay was just a few chairs down from me. My dear friend Paula Sword and my daughter were with me. Just getting to New York had taken a great deal of bravery but there we were ready to hear everything that Reid Tracey, the CEO of Hay House, and Cheryl Richardson, author of The Extreme Gift of Self-Care, had to say. This lovely young man walks in and sits down right beside me. He was 22 at the time. He’d come all the way from Liverpool to be there. I knew immediately that he was someone very special. We introduced ourselves, he was a drama teacher, imagine that! As we talked I instantly loved him and the thought came into my head that he would be the next Wayne Dyer.
It was the 10th anniversary of the Sept 11 attack and most New Yorkers were apprehensive about what might happen. Paula and I didn’t want our new found friend travelling by subway when things were so tenuous so we invited him to share our hotel room. We visited, ate sour candy and prepared ourselves for the following day at the conference. During that time I learned so much, another article perhaps, but my love for Sean just grew and grew. We stayed in touched since then and I have been so proud of all he has accomplished.
This past fall I noticed Sean was starting a publishing company!
I thought WOW that is so cool and he is so brave to be doing something so big at his young age. I also got the little nudge that I would be writing a book with him. I didn’t do anything about it at the time but on January 1st as I sat in my living room thinking about what the New Year held for me I got a message from Sean inviting me to be one of his authors. I chuckled to myself because I knew this was coming. The message might have been from Sean but it had God’s name all over it! There was only one response! Hell YA!!!!
Now here I am, a few months later, working on this new project, having the honor of being mentored by this very BRAVE BEAUTIFUL young man Sean! He has gathered together a group of extraordinary authors from all over the world to be his premiere group. I am so honored to be a part of it. His clarity and encouragement are so amazing. After each call with him or group meeting with the other authors and Sean I feel so alive, so challenged, so on fire! I am deeply touched by his raw Courage and Faith.
Sean doesn’t just speak words of Bravery and Faith he lives them.
He is a tremendous example to me, to all of us, of just believing in yourself and following your heart! I am grateful to know and proud to honor him here on my BRAVE SOULS PAGE.
